Primary Election Update!

Primary ballots go out on Friday!

Do you have a plan to VOTE by August 6th? Did you know you can get a head start by reviewing the primary voter’s pamphlet online? Fill in your name and birthdate (must match your voter registration), and click on “Your Ballot and Voting Materials” and “Voter’s Guide”. This site also includes lots of handy information about how to get a replacement ballot, if you need one, and where to find ballot drop boxes.

  • Upper Valley Meet & Greet: TOMORROW Thursday, July 18th, 5-6pm at the Mazama Community Club. Come beat the heat with lemonade and ice cream and talk about the PUD!

  • Twisp Valley Grange Candidate Forum: Monday, July 22, 6:30-8:00pm. Twisp Valley Grange 344 W. 2nd Ave., Twisp. Submit your questions for candidates here. More information is available on the website.

U.S. and Canada reach deal on Columbia River Treaty:Linda Mapes’ and Gregory Scruggs’ article in the Seattle Times provides an overview of the landmark agreement recently announced by the Biden Administration to modernize the Columbia River Treaty. More details of the Treaty are still to be finalized before it goes to Congress for ratification later this year.
